This advert is very different to many existing baby/children’s adverts as it is very ‘cartoon-like’. It starts off with very bright colours; we see a green background from top to bottom along with 2 characters (young girl and dog) and a ‘Goodies van’ The first shot is very busy with different object placed all over the shot, which I think does divert an audience’s attention a little bit.
I noticed that there were text placed in the different objects i.e. orange flower had white text with “New” on top of it, in the blue coloured river there is the words “Veg and oat bar” which then tells the audience what product is being advertised.
The animations on the first shot right through the end of the advert shows moving animations with an upbeat tempo sound in the background.
The first shot starts from 0:00to 0:04 seconds. A pan movement is then made and the audience are introduced to the next shot. The background colour is dark orange showing 3 characters 2 human figures and the dog that was shown previously in the first shot. Although this shot is also very cartoonlike we are made to think that these characters (young children) are in a park playing around.
The audience can hear the young children appearing to have fun. The voiceover then begins at 0:06 seconds saying telling the audience that the snacks and drinks shown on screen (bananas, strawberries and pears) are made by Organix (the brand name).
The character is then seen sliding down the slide bumping into the advertised product (the fruit squeezy bottle) while the other character (young child) fly’s over her yelling “yummy”. As the characters fly’s up in the air, the audience are then introduced to the next shot.
The next shot begins with the same (young male) character flying up with a baked corn puff above him, used as a parachute and we see the text “Baked corn puffs” and savouries, with other moving animations on screen. (The voiceover continues “A bag made with love filled with goodness”).
0:05 seconds later we are then introduced to another scene this time advertising another of Organix’s products, fruit water. The characters hurdle around it yelling “thirsty” while the voiceover explains that Goodies are “tasty, organic and toddlers love them and we promise no add salt, processed sugars, colourings or flavourings, thank goodness for Goodies”
In my opinion the voiceover wasn’t very clear as I had to repeat the advert on 4 different occasions because I couldn’t hear what was being said properly, but I particularly liked the fact that the voiceover filled us in as an audience on the product and the benefits of it. With also text to for the audience to be able to read the more important parts.
Towards the end of the advert at 0:20 seconds we start to see all the brands products popping out of the Goodies delivery van, showing us all the products they have for purchase, also giving the audience 7 seconds to take a look at each of them which is a fair amount of time.
I also noticed the Facebook logo that appeared during 0:25 seconds with the text Organix Food showing the audience that it is being advertised through Facebook and they will be able to have a look on their Facebook page for further information. An important factor for me to consider when creating my own adverts.
