Target audience appeal
My chosen target audience for my baby food advert is aimed at Mothers (female) ranged between the ages of25-35. I have chosen this particular age group simply because I feel that this age group is a mature mother age and woman aged 25-35are likely to have more experience and training with babies than say a 16 – 21 year old would have.
I aim to attract mothers to go into local stores or supermarkets to purchase my baby food product to feed their babies with and I intend to do this by showing love and connection between the mother and baby in my advert. I also feel that mothers ages 25-35 watching this advert with a baby and mother will be more interested that say the father would be.
In today’s world any product that is associated with childhood and the first tender years of babyhood can legitimately use babies in their campaigns. Like women’s bodies, the images of healthy cute babies are ubiquitous. Unlike women’s bodies which are used to sell all kinds of unrelated products, no one objects to the use of babies in selling baby products. The ads appeal to our hearts through irresistible babies, but they also appeal to our sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
I am going to talk about my product in view of my target audience and go on to explain as to why my product will attract this particular audience. Using my research on different baby products I am going to discuss how my product overview with appeal to my chosen audience.
There are many different techniques used today in baby advertisements today and the particular brand of the product always take that extra initiative to ensure that they have attracted the right audience in the correct way.
Although not all baby advertisements today get the right response from their chosen audiences, some advertising companies do their utmost to then try to attract their target audiences by using other strategies.
My baby product advertisement will feature a mother and baby with a strong bond making the advert looks more realistic as advertisement can sometimes not appeal to mothers simply because they cannot understand the aim of the advert and why for example the baby is featured in a living room corner or a little room in which they are just sitting playing with the product in which is being advertised not really making sense of what the product is used for and how it is used.
The packaging and ingredients of my baby food product is an important factor for me to bear in mind as from my survey results I am now aware that due to health and safety regulations the packaging of my product is important along with the health and diet options of the baby food product.
My survey results show that many mothers would have preferred their baby food brand to be a lot cheaper and bearing their responses in mind I am going to price my baby food product at around £0.39 - £1.50 price range which is then a lot cheaper than the baby food market is putting out there today.
From looking at and watching different styled baby product advertisements I noticed that the timing of the scenes are also very effective and place a huge question mark when an audience is watching it and from looking at my survey results I understand that a few participants felt that a baby product related advertisement was either two short or two long and this is an aspect in which I will really need to focus on and look into detail to ensure that my adverts don't have the same error.
