Target audience profile
My chosen target audience for my baby food advert is aimed at Mothers (female) ranged between the ages of 25-35. I have chosen this particular age group simply because I feel that this age group is a mature mother age and woman aged 25-35 are likely to have more experience and training with babies than say a 16 – 21 year old would have.
I aim to attract mothers to go into local stores or supermarkets to purchase my baby food product to feed their babies with and I intend to do this by showing love and connection between the mother and baby in my advert. I also feel that mothers ages 25-35 watching this advert with a baby and mother will be more interested that say the father would be.
In today’s world any product that is associated with childhood and the first tender years of babyhood can legitimately use babies in their campaigns. Like women’s bodies, the images of healthy cute babies are ubiquitous. Unlike women’s bodies which are used to sell all kinds of unrelated products, no one objects to the use of babies in selling baby products. The ads appeal to our hearts through irresistible babies, but they also appeal to our sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
The techniques used to sell Nappies are not complex. Any product that is associated with childhood and the first tender years of babyhood can legitimately use babies in their adverts. Like women’s bodies, the images of healthy cute babies are ever-present.

Diaper commercials are usually shown against a backdrop of white, which suggests a clinically clean room.
Certain baby adverts tend to appeal more to people of different target audiences, just simply because the advert for the baby product has not been carefully structured properly for example a cute baby may be featured in the advert and just playing around without putting great emphasis on the product and what the product has to offer to the baby and what use it could serve to the baby and this is where I feel UK baby advertisement are lacking when it comes to attracting their correct audiences.
I believe that my created baby food product will be advertised in an appropriate way and show the audience (the mothers and possibly their young babies) what my product is all about and the benefits of my product and with all my ideas in place I could successfully fulfil my target audiences needs and hopefully even get them to go out and purchase my baby food product.
